Having a vertical allows you to really taste how much Mother Nature is in charge of our winemaking. Find out with this delightful trio of Bell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon spanning three vintages - 2014, 2015, and 2016.
2014 Cabernet Sauvignon - 92pts Robert Parker's, The Wine Advocate
On the palate the wine is big, but not overbearing in oak or tannin; the big solid structure has rounded edges of soft chewy tannin for a wine this young. Flavors of deep, dark blueberry, blackberry, and black raspberry give it a wild "brambliness" that we like and the intense minerality is reflective of our estate. The finish leaves a lasting impression of sweet, toasty oak. Delicious now, the wine will also age beautifully and continue to improve over the next 10 years.
2015 Cabernet Sauvignon
Dark aromas of coffee and black pepper surrounded by notes of blue and black fruit are predominant in the 2015 vintage. On the palate, this wine offers bold, yet supple, tannins and balanced acidity with plenty of weight on the mid-palate. The tannins resolve into harmonious finish with lingering flavors of fruit and milk chocolate.
2016 Cabernet Sauvignon
Recently released, our 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon provides classic Bordeaux red fruit aromas of raspberry and ripe Bing cherry with notes of perfume, vanilla, cinnamon, and black pepper. On the palate we find a dynamic tension between the tannin and acid that provides a precarious balance; one that delivers on the fruit’s complexity. The wine opens with flavors of roasted meat, cocoa, blackberry, and cinnamon toast, and finishes with root beer and caramel. A pure delight!
