8 slices country style bread, about 1/2 inch thick 1/2 pound fresh mozzarella slices 8 oven dried or fresh tomato 16 large fresh basil leaves 3 tablespoons butter Make sandwich with above. Sprinkle with sea salt and cracked black pepper. Heat a large skillet over moderate heat until warm. Add 1 tablespoon of butter and place the sandwiches into the skillet. Place another heavy skillet on top of the break sandwiches. Cook 2-3 minutes until well browned on the bottom. Remove and add a 1/2 tablespoon of butter to the pan. Flip and replace the sandwiches and re-weight. Cook until brown. Cut and serve immediately. Print this page for your reference.
