As Winemaking tastes each individual lot of wine from the myriad of distinct blocks on our Bell Mountain Estate ranch, they discover that certain parts of the vineyard are best as components for limited production blends. These micro blocks are identified and, over time and experimentation, they become part of our Small Lot Collection. These wines are 100% estate-grown, organic, and initially released to our Wine Club Members before being made available online or at our Tasting Room.
Our 2016 Kate's & B's offers plenty of fruit up front, with blackberry, ripe blueberry, and a hint of raspberry. The fruit is supported by notes of cinnamon and roasted espresso. On the palate the wine is lusciously smooth, with silky tannins, great weight and complexity.
Our 2016 Fifty Tons provides powerful blackberry and black currant aromas with a hint of raspberry. The upfront fruit aromas are backed up by notes of vanilla and the warm perfume of oak. On the palate, this wine offers bright acidity, concentrated dark fruit, and velvety smooth tannins. The finish is long with a hint of minerality at the end.
Our Snakepit Red shows aromas of voluminous purple fruit, blackberry, and black currant with a hint of caramel, reminiscent of a warm summery berry preserve. On the palate we find blackberry acidity balanced with great structure provided by soft, polished tannins.
Offers aromas of concentrated Meyer lemon, honeysuckle, orange blossom honey, and freshly greated ginger. On the palate, we find an intriguing blend of flavors of honey and Bosc pear with a citrus rind finish that is a result of the extra hangtime.
Serve it slightly chilled and see how the flavors and aromas develop as the glass warms.
Offers concentrated fruit aromas of freshly baked blackberry and boysenberry pie, as well as leather and seaspray. On the palate, the sweetness is balanced by acid tension that keeps the finish sleek and not cloying. The finish is long and luxurious, ending with an aftertaste of dried figs.
Aromas of Bing cherries and sun-ripened strawberries are bound together with new leather and tobacco leaf. On the palate, bright acidity and bigger tannins provide a framework to show even more fruit with hints of tocacco.
Our 2017 Moss Oak Pinot Noir offers notes of black cherry, strawberry, and vanilla. On the palate, the delicate flavors are enhanced with juicy acids wrapped in firm tannins, ending with a savory, umami finish.
Offers light, delicate aromas of pear, lemon zest, wet stone, candied apple, lemon curd, and tangerine. On the palate, the wine is polished and lush with well integrated acid, followed by a rich velvety caramel finish with the lingering flavor of peach.
The inaugural release of our Newcomb Sauvignon Blanc offers powerful aromatics of lemon flower and citrus peel with a hint of stone fruit. On the palate, velvety acid with grapefruit, apricot, and nectarine. This is a sit-down Sauvignon Blanc, and would pair perfectly with loup de mer at a beachside café in Saint-Tropez.
