Medium to full-bodied, it floods the mouth with luscious fruits and mineral sparks, framed by pixelated tannins and great freshness, finishing very long and layered. Lovely!

Ames ferments and ages two-thirds of the wine in barrel, the rest in stainless steel, blending them into a fresh, creamy white where the oak is present but doesn't overwhelm the lime and agave flavors. It's ready to chill for Dungeness crab.

Newcomb - Sauvignon Blanc

This is a serious, Bordeaux-esque style of Sauvignon Blanc.

Secret Ingredient - Malbec

Deep garnet-purple with an earthy nose over a core of baked plums, blueberry pie, black cherry compote, and violets. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is bursting with vibrant fruit, framed by rounded tannins and finishing with a refreshing lift.

Aromas of Morello cherries, black currants, dark chocolate, leather and vanilla with hints of cedar and dried herbs.

Thistle Late Harvest - Sauvignon Blanc

2016 - 91 pts Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

This isn't made every year. "We don't always get the botrytis," says winemaker Ames Morison, "but we always leave a little fruit out hoping for it. It doesn't always work!"  Nice!
