Chief Financial Officer

Department: Administration
Reports to: Julie Rothberg, President
Location: Chalk Hill Rd.
Schedule: Full time (M-F)
Classification: Exempt

This is a dynamic role, with potential for growth, for an intellectually-curious individual looking to expand their experience in the wine industry. You will wear several hats and touch all aspects of our operations as a key business partner working closely with the President. This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week that will manage financial management, payroll, compliance and financial operations along with HR and administrative duties to support the financial and sales functions of our growing company. Being a team player and problem-solver is a must.

Position Summary:

We’re a diverse, inclusive, and growing organization that is deeply rooted in our widely-stated values. As we begin a new period of growth, we’re looking for a financial leader with strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving and communication skills to take ownership of our financial, operational and compliance activities.

As is the nature of a smaller, growing business, everyone gets their hands dirty so the expectation is the CFO will not only have strategic responsibility and oversight but also be able to ensure daily financial transactions are conducted efficiently and accurately.

The CFO is responsible for all record keeping including month-end and year-end financial closings, financial and sales reporting, prepare quarterly financials for ownership and will work with the President on cost-accounting and inventory management. They will oversee daily cash needs and long-term cash flow projections.

A positive, can-do, problem-solving attitude is a must as this role is part of our senior leadership team so must have the emotional intelligence and skills to manage diverse people across the organization while also being self-directed to work independently. This position reports directly into the President and will supervise one direct report (Business Manager).
